Who's moon is closer?

My Best friend and I had this Conversation about the blood moon.

Nellie: Don't be mad but I kinda took a few pictures of the blood moon last night. Me: Awwww really, how were yours? Nellie: "shows me pictures" Me: Wow there really good pictures, Mine were shit though :( Did you take it with your phone or camera? Nellie: Camera Me: Awww that sucks I used mine but didn't work, How far was your moon away? Nellie: OMG Seriously (Lol), I'm telling everyone you just said that. The moon is the same distance from my house as well as yours. Me: NOOoooooo, My moons in the bush it was clearly a lot future away then what it looked like in town, plus I have trees. Nellie: Just stop.
